Temporary Home Search!

So the fun begins!  We started searching for a new home.  We visited two places.  One was a Mobile Home Trader and the other was a holiday park on the coast. It was good fun but I don't think the reality of what are going to do has really sunk in yet!

I lost count of how many mobile homes we looked in at the Mobile Home Trader.  There are so many different layouts to choose from and quite a hefty price tag on some of them.   The good thing about buying one from here is that they will deliver it onto site and you can also opt for a buy back scheme.  So when the build is finished and we move into our new home we can sell back the mobile home and not lose too much money.

Now, I thought that visiting the Holiday Park was going to be a waste of time because the caravans would be hugely expensive.  This was not the case and they were so much nicer inside.  We could buy a mobile home for a fraction of the price but would have to pay someone to transport it onto site for us.  Also we would have the hassle of selling the mobile home after the build was complete.  Even so, this option worked out far cheaper!  If we couldn't sell the mobile home and had to have it destroyed, it would still work out cheaper.

There are so many things to consider.  We don't want to put any of our furniture into storage if we can help it and the more that we can fit into the caravan the better.  But there isn't much space and we are a large family.   What to do about the washing machine?  I would much prefer to have our own beds.  Where are we going to put the mobile home? Electricity/water etc etc ..... the list is endless..... and a blog of it's own!
